The day exteriors for Big Man Face: The Movie are now finished. Of course, nothing's come without its fair share of mind-crushing crises, but regardless, shooting itself has managed to go really well.

Today is the first day on the soundstage and we're starting with the Simeons and their crashed UFO in the forest.

Dashed promises of a big update the other day, right? We should have paid some peon to "blog" this process for us since we're busy.

Anyway, lots of things have progressed. Prop shopping. Costume Preparation. Location Scouting with producer "High & Lazy" Hobag. Tech scouting with our DP Mike Testin. Storyboarding. Other Miscellanous Crap. Lots of work.

Tonight was the first night that I sat down with Justin and Greg and really let them go fucking nuts making the music for Big Man Face. I can't believe the shit that they pumped out in just around 2 hours.

So they're definitely on as far as the music goes. We got rough samples of the opening music, a song for when BMF is running around like mad (which is most of the movie), and the beat for the credits crawl BMF rap song.

Crate full of Eau de dahhh!! arrived in the mail today. The bodily fluids of all the great showa era wrestlers is now just a spray bottle away for generations to come. Today I'm wearing Giant Babba. It's surprising, he smelled nice for such a big man.

Met with cinematographer Mike today. We hit it off nicely. Maybe it was the scent of Baba's big-toe coming from me. Maybe he was just relieved when I didn't burst into the room screaming like Wolfman Jack while shoving a corn cob up my ass. I'd like to think it was the Baba. Normally a vulgar, nonsensical, and irresponsible movie like Big Man Face isn't what he shoots, but I feel he's perfect for the project. He'll be the quiet, subtle eye capturing the excessive world that Dudu and Dirty created.

Tomorrow is the meet up with FX man Gabe, so you can all now officially wish me crunk.

Like dust in the wind, the day blows apart and forms a bright new thing. Okay, so that Nigerian cab driver said not to speak in analogies, but I really just wanted to sound like an art-fag for a minute, or something like that. Tomorrow's meeting with fx guru Gabe is now on Wednesday afternoon, and tuesday's main objective has changed. Now will be meeting with the man who photographs the flick, also known in some circles as the "cinematographer". Sounds fancy, doesn't it? Well it is shit-tooth. I get to spend a bit with him yakking, sweating, showing movie clips, and trying to convince him I'm not crazy and/or a fucking moron. Personally I'm looking forward to it, should be a fun and constructive time. Hopefully he thinks so too...

Other than that listening to lots of Rats & Star, Hotei, and GWAR. Maybe something interesting will come from that. I don't really know.

Meeting up with Gabe Bartalos of Atlantic West Effects tomorrow. He's the maniac behind the fx in films like Brain Damage, Basket Case 2 & 3, and the Leprechaun series. He may just be crazy enough to take on the mighty task of bringing Big Man Face to the big screen. He may just pick me up by the shirt and toss me out of his fx studio. Either way I've got a story to tell, so wish me crunk.

In other news, in an attempt to keep you Big Man Face fanatics entertained until the movie comes out, Joseph Luster is now serializing his comic Gas Baby online. It's his own twisted tribute to Dragon Ball, Go Nagai, and most importantly, Dirty Earl. Oh, don't fret, it isn't filled with the kind of smug humor that infests most self-produced comics. You know, the kind that only the creator and his savage nerd friends think is "clever". In other words, it genuinely tries to entertain you. You know, like most comics should. So please enjoy, and try to let it fill that hole in your heart that Big Man Face's absence has caused.
